Sixmore days and Staithes Festival begins with the Preview (7,00pm until 9.00pm) followed by two glorious days of Art Music and Heritage. It's worth spending the weekend in such a rich atmosphere, even though the artists and performers don't get to see as much as they'd like to, being too busy enjoying the company of thousands of visitors. Here's to fine weather and another buzzing weekend for this very beautiful and special ancient fishing village.

Our exhibition at The Moors Visitor Centre Danby was very well received and a great success. Thanks to Sally Smith and her volunteers for hanging the work so beautifully and arranging Emma's wonderful glassware. The weather was really hot so we were grateful for the fan which eventually arrived to cool us down.
Next - Staithes Festival on September 10 and 11 with the preview on Friday 9th. Gail and I are Fishermans' Cottage, Gungutter, thanks once more to Brenda's kind offer. We're looking forward to being with her once more. We enjoy our stay there and always meet so many nice visitors but never find time to enjoy all the fantastic art work out there in the village, or the music and events, but the whole village buzzes.
